12 Reasons Why .... You Should Never DIY

12 Lessons from DIY (assuming your DIY skills are terrible like mine)

1. Doing things yourself often takes longer than you think.

2. A job that takes you 4 hours would probably take a pro 30 minutes (and they'd do it better)

3. Buying all the tools, parts and pastes etc is time consuming, confusing and expensive - a pro has a lot of those things already, buys in bulk and gets discounts plus they really know what they're getting

4. Once you see a problem, identify what you've got to do and do it - there are often surprises underneath - a professional has seen it before and has the skills and tools to deal with it rapidly - you do not.

5. Making mistakes could be more costly than getting someone to do it right in the first place.

6. ALWAYS - if you've got the £££ pay for someone else to do it - there's no pride in struggle, and there's no shame in getting help.

7. If you haven't got the money ... a) do the best you can b) Youtube is a great resource c) ask for basic advice (see b) or d) work out a way that you can afford it.

8. It's almost always quicker to hire a professional

9. It's significantly easier to hire a professional

10. unless you enjoy it you'll probably run out of Energy/motivation fairly quickly.

11. if you MUST do it yourself, always have a goal in mind to keep you motivated - what are you doing it for? When does it NEED to be done by? because if you don't you'll drag your heels, do it wrong and end up paying someone anyway.

12. you could learn to do it, but you can't buy experience and it will cost you time and money to do that too.

Now apply this to your health.

What's cheaper - DIY or Hire a Professional? If you've got a health problem, physical pain, and emotional pain (hint: all physical pain has an emotional link) - from Fibromyalgia and CRPS to Trigeminal Neuralgia and Tennis Elbow. These are all the things I've helped in the past and present.
