Biofeedback Therapy - What is it?

To me there are 2 forms of Biofeedback therapy.
Numero Uno
Let's start with what most people would consider then move onto what I do (which I see as a form of biofeedback therapy)
Biofeedback Therapy is the use of some form of device that is constantly measuring some part of your body.
That could be Brainwaves, Heartbeat, Muscle tension, Blood Pressure etc etc.
It gives Real Time (Now) data so that a therapist can inform you - or that you can see yourself - about what is going on when given different stimulations, questions, things to think about or do.
That information then gives you (the person being tested) an idea about what is going on and then you're able to make a conscious decision to change or the therapist can give you some feedback about how or what to change.
Numero Dos

The use of muscle testing - there are multiple different forms of muscle testing.
But they all share 1 principle...
...is the nervous system communicating with this muscle correctly right now?
This is what makes muscle testing the same as biofeedback - a physical test that gives feedback to the practitioner and client/patient about something that is usually invisible to the eye.
Through the use of muscle testing, questioning, the use of imagination/remembering and visualisation the client can put themselves back to a positive or negative memory.
A muscle test can then be performed to discover how this effects the body - does it relax (positive result .... which actually means it's a "failed" test) or does it remain strong (negative result ..... which actually means a "passed" test)
A Practitioner using this type of muscle testing will most likely be using some sort of system to guide them in what to look for, how things are linked together and what are the sources of the problem.
Depending on their system, what they have learnt and their experiences they can delve into how your body works to discover the unknown sources of whatever it is that you went to see them for...
...whether that's emotional, physical, an illness, back pain, knee pain etc etc etc.
As an Applied Movement Neurology Practitioner - amongst other things - this is what I am able to do for you - even online - which is pretty cool.
Some of my clients live 100's of miles away, occasionally in other countries too.
Whatever your condition or problem there is a high likelihood I can help.
