First off, there shouldn't be anything, if you put your heart and soul into it, that you can't do.
Everything is possible it just depends on how much effort you put into getting it.
If you want to set up a business, do it.
If you want to run a marathon, do it.
If you want to get promoted, do it.
I say these things - they aren't that simple, they require a plan, strategy, tactics, effort, hard work. Everything that you want in life, that you really really want is hard to get, because if it was easy you would already have it.
What can't you do?
I love running and I haven't done anywhere near as much of that as I wanted to in the last 5 years (and more) because of fear of pain and being injured. On and off, for what seems like most of my life, I have had some sort of pain or injury. Most of the time it hasn't stopped me from doing the things I've wanted to do because either I've just pushed through the pain and done it anyway or I've learnt how to get on top of it (which has taken a tremendous amount of time and effort) and then got on with the things I want to do.
Am I right to fear it? Yes. I don't want to hurt myself so badly that I need surgery just because I love running and then things could potentially be worse.
Should I fear it? Absolutely NOT. I should do everything in my power and knowledge (or somebody else's knowledge) to get that problem fixed.
Because I love running. I put everything into running, it's my escape from troubles, it's time to think and be free, its time well spent on being fit and healthy (something I want for my entire life, not just my youth - I'm 32 right now), I want to be fit and healthy when I'm OLD so that i can still enjoy things that I do now and what I did in my 20's when I'm in my 80's.
